This mainly residential community is full of immensely charming houses.  There are a few areas around the University Village and along 35th Avenue that contain businesses. This is a great place to be if you enjoy the surrounding neighborhoods but like to be in a quieter location.

Laurelhurst

Laurelhurst streets wind peacefully through the neighborhood and homes are situated within cul-de-sacs. Only the views from the top of the hill let you know you’re in a big city. Matthews Beach

This residential area is home to one of North Seattle’s most popular lakeside hangouts as well as some pretty swanky houses. You can tell that the people who live here have a respect for nature. Just south of the beach, the natural habitat has been restored to be friendlier to native plants and animals.

Ravenna

This charming neighborhood that takes its name from this street is the perfect place to call home.  It’s is a remarkably quiet neighborhood, considering how close it is the U-District and the very active Greenlake.’ A small stretch of 65th Street near 20th Ave NE provides just enough area activity and entertainment. Ravenna is also proud to call the “U-Village” shopping center part of its neighborhood.

View Ridge

This primarily residential area is perched on the top of the hill and contains tranquil, well-kept houses with large yards and street roundabouts. The Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, for example, gives access to Puget Sound and has a sandy beach—pretty rare in this area.
